POWER PLANT:

Dispatch Operator

MMU is looking for a dependable, safety-minded individual to join our Electric Production team as a Dispatch Operator. This unique position combines electrical utility dispatching with the operation and maintenance of power generation equipment and a recycling facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Regulate generator loads, coordinate purchased power, and operate and control generating equipment.
• Monitor equipment and utility system conditions, respond to alarms, and dispatch on-call personnel when problems or service interruptions occur.
• Participate in the operation of turbines, generators, and related power plant equipment.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and assist with equipment repairs.
• Assist with operation and maintenance of MMU’s recycling facility and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Missouri Driver’s License (Class F or higher)
• Basic computer skills and ability to use related software applications
• Ability to perform shift work (days and shift hours determined by operating schedule and may rotate or swing)
