"Providing Hometown Reliability"
December 21, 2011: Marshall -
Marshall Municipal Utilities has announced Debbie Wooden as their "Employee of the Year" for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2011.
Wooden was selected by a group of her peers from 11 nominees out off a pool of approximately 90 eligible employees.
Wooden was twice nominated for employee of the quarter during fiscal year 2011. In nominating Wooden, Administrative Services Director Ken Gieringer highlighted her work on annual reports as well as her efforts coordinating and tracking a number of other projects. Gieringer's nomination noted her work with all departments on a variety of tasks, including correspondence, records, and project deadlines. "Without people like Debbie who are dedicated to taking care of the details that others tend to forget, MMU's transactions and records would not be as complete and reliable as they are," said Gieringer.

In May 1989, Wooden began her employment with MMU in the billing department. In March of 1990, she was promoted to Executive Secretary, the position she holds today.
